Living Expenses.
Norway has one of the highest living expenses in the world, but this is also on par with the quality of living. You basically pay high for a good life, lol. You need to pay for everything, including your own study materials (books). The official average monthly figure for a student is NOK 9000 (around EURO 1000), this would go on accommodation, bills, transport, etc. Multiply this by 12, and you’re required to deposit around NOK 110000 to cover your living expenses for a minimum of one year. This is around EURO 10000.
Most students come and they’re able to learn the local language within 6months and this helps them get jobs that help pay their bills.
Students may be allowed to work up to 20 hours per week. Certain restrictions do apply. Several scholarships and financial schemes are available for foreign students. Eligibility depends on your current country of residency and level of completed education. Certain restrictions and prerequisites apply for all these programmes. For current detailed information
International students may stay in Norway for until one year after graduating from a Norwegian university or university college in order to look for work. Beware that you must apply for residence permit as a job seeker before your current permit expires and after completing your degree. You can read more about it here https://www.udi.no/en/want-to-apply/work-immigration/job-seekers/
